Play for Change, organizzazione benefica Internazionale, si dedica allo sviluppo di programmi sportvi ed educativi con l’obiettivo di migliorare le prospettive di vita dei bambini e dei giovani disagiati nel mondo, diffondendo i valori sani dello sport, ottimizzando l’educazione e le loro abilita’ per poter affrontare al meglio il futuro.
The European Sponsorship Association (ESA), Europe’s trade body for Sponsorship has today announced a partnership between the 2017 ESA Excellence Awards and Play for Change, an international sport for development charity that uses the values of sports to empower and make a positive change in the lives of under-privileged children and their communities around the world.
The District Education Office and Lamjung Development Office along with schools in other areas, have called for the Khelaun Khelaun programme to be replicated in further regions of Nepal due to its unique way of using sport to address social issues.
The Play for Change Award will be presented to a top-class athlete, who is responsible for extraordinary social responsibility work through supporting, funding and advocating worthy campaigns, initiatives and projects for vulnerable children through sport.
This July, Stewards Academy hosted Play for Change and one of their ambassadors - inspirational Paralympic athlete Anne Wafula Strike for a motivational sports day with 900 children. The Harlow based racer delivered a potent presentation, focusing on the potential of sports as a tool for self-development and community-building. The main purpose of this day though was encouraging children to play sports in order to cultivate key life skills for themselves and the communities they live in.
