Many of the children were illiterate as they were forced to beg instead of going to school. This project offered them a safe place to get education and qualifications.

Context
virtual-tour.png

Many of the children and communities in Bali live in extreme poverty and can suffer from severe health problems. There is also a lack of education and employment which forces many children to resort to the streets to bring money back for their family.

A large scene of street kids has developed in South Bali and these children become vulnerable to exploitation in many ways, including sexual abuse, crime, drugs and child labour.
