YKPA PFC STREET KIDS PROJECT
Location: BALI, INDONESIA
2012 - Present
Many of the children and communities in Bali live in extreme poverty and can suffer from severe health problems. There is also a lack of education and employment which forces many children to resort to the streets to bring money back for their family.
A large scene of street kids has developed in South Bali and these children become vulnerable to exploitation in many ways, including sexual abuse, crime, drugs and child labour.
YKPA Play for Change works in some of the poorest parts of Bali to help the most vulnerable children and communities. We provide a safe environment where children can access education, sporting activities, food and healthcare empowering them to secure a better future.
Having no choice but to live on the streets, places children in grave danger. We are housing 27 children across two orphanages in safe, age appropriate living environments with access to food, water, health care and education.
Street kids assistance
Many of the children are illiterate as they are forced to beg instead of going to school. This project offers children a safe place to get educated and qualifications.
Women safe house
A large amount of women and children are in need of protection and health care from domestic violence, sexual abuse and homelessness. The safe house has been created to help them find a way out of the problem.
Helping remote village families
There are many families who live in very remote parts of Bali and as a result resources such as food and clothing are inaccessible to them. We aim to send donations to support with health, nutrition and clothing needs.
Helping children requiring surgery
YKPA Play for Change provides critical health care to villages who really need it.
The Street Kid project really needs your support, please donate as your funds go a long way.
